Daufuskie Island residents and home owners qualify to ride the Official Daufuskie Island Public Ferry at a discounted rate by obtaining a Palmetto Breeze ID card. Click here for the process to apply for and obtain an ID card.

 

The costs for the discounted Ferry Tickets vary depending on your qualifications as detailed below:

Level 1 - Orange Ticket/ID card - $3.00 One-Way

• Full-Time Resident Student (ages 5-18)

• Full-Time Resident Seniors (age 65 and older)

• Residents or Property Owners with disabilities (must submit proof of restriction)

• Full-Time Residents or Renters qualify (Pink or Green ONLY)

Level 2 - Pink Ticket/ID card - $4.00 One-Way

• Full-Time Resident Homeowner (4% property tax rate)

• Eligibility determined by records of the Beaufort County Assessor's Office.

• Beaufort County may request copy of closing documents to verify recent purchases and/or new home construction.

• Students and children DO qualify for the Orange ticket.

Level 3 - Green Ticket/ID card - $5.00 One-Way

• Full-Time Resident Renter

• Must provide a copy of a signed lease/rental agreement from landlord and/or property owner verifying rental term for a period of at least one year. The County may request a notarized statement.

• Students and children DO qualify for the Orange ticket.

Level 4 - Yellow Ticket/ID card - $8.00 One-Way

• Non-Full-Time Daufuskie Island Property or Home Owner (6% property tax rate)

• Eligibility determined by records of the Beaufort County Assessor's Office.

• Students and children DO NOT qualify for the Orange Ticket.
