Island Overview
Daufuskie Island is a residential sea island located between Savannah, Georgia and Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. It has a full-time population of around 430 people, and is home to a resort, a private residential community, and largely undeveloped residential property.

Ferry
Daufuskie Island residents and home owners qualify to ride the Official Daufuskie Island Public Ferry at a discounted rate by obtaining a Qualified Discount Rider (QDR) ID card. In order to obtain an ID card, residents will need to have prior approval from Beaufort County and must complete an application by visiting this site: https://www.beaufortcountysc.gov/daufuskie-ferry-id-application.html. Once you have completed this application, you will be contacted via email for next steps.
