Marketing Manager (Full-Time Position)
Palmetto Breeze is currently recruiting for a full-time Marketing Manager.
​
Under the general supervision of the Executive Director, the Palmetto Breeze Marketing Manager represents LRTA in the community and with media partners to promote a positive public image and identity. Additionally, this individual works collaboratively with other department heads to promote internal staff communications and high employee morale. This individual will be required to shape public and internal perception of LRTA and increase awareness of the agency’s undertakings and initiatives. The Marketing Manager is responsible for attending community events to promote LRTA services, answer questions, and respond to information requests from the general public and the media. Duties include:

Conduct community outreach to solicit feedback from riders and other members of the public.

Manage the design and production of printed marketing materials.

Maintain and promote the LRTA website and oversee the administration of the LRTA social media accounts.

Develop newspaper, television and social media communication concepts to promote LTA services.

Must have clear and appropriate written and verbal communication skills to present to the community and media outlets.

Lead and assist staff with community outreach engagement to ascertain service improvements and customer service satisfaction.
-
Manage relationships with business partners to maximize sales of internal/external advertising on LRTA buses.
-
Manage independent contractors that are supporting marketing needs.
-
Assist Executive Director with any necessary crisis communications as directed.
-
Any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or their designee.

Individual must possess a valid Driver’s License. The ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish is preferred, but not required. High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field is preferred. Graphic design, social media, electronic media, and Microsoft Office experience is required.
Position is full-time with excellent State of South Carolina benefits. Annual salary range is between $55,000 and $60,000 depending on qualifications.
Diesel Mechanic/Maintenance Technician (Full-Time Position)
Palmetto Breeze is currently offering a $5,000 Sign-On BONUS for a qualified Diesel Mechanic.
MINIMUM APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent, and minimum 3-5 years of diesel maintenance and diagnostics experience; or any combination of relevant education and experience

Must be at least 21 years of age

Possess a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), or have ability to obtain CDL-Class B Permit within 90 days
-
Possess basic computer skills
-
Possess stable and verifiable work history, with exceptional record of attendance and punctuality
-
Ability to bend, kneel, stoop and stand for long periods of time on concrete surfaces. Ability to perform lifting tasks up to 75 lbs.

Pass Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and back screen, drug screen, and complete a background check
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & FUNCTIONS

Regular and predictable performance of essential job functions.

Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and diagnose fleet vehicle.

Perform fleet vehicle inspections, overhauls, major and minor repairs, as well as monitoring/completing on-going regular scheduled maintenance.

Ensure fleet vehicles are in safe, working order when placed in service, and free of mechanical defects.
-
Respond to emergency road-calls and troubleshoot in the field.
-
Utilize effective time management skills in performing and completing assigned work orders.
-
Adhere to all safety regulations, policies and procedures.
-
Maintain a safe work environment and clean work area.

Other related duties as assigned.

Bus Operators (Full- and Part-Time Positions):
Palmetto Breeze is currently hiring drivers! Must have a valid CDL Class B with passenger endorsement. Applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug screen. Non-CDL Driver (Part-Time Position):
Palmetto Breeze is currently hiring for a part-time Non-CDL driver. Driving experience with accessible vehicles is a plus. The person in this position must be able to assist passengers with mobility issues. Applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
We are looking for a Driver to transport clients in a comfortable, safe and timely manner. Driver responsibilities include keeping their vehicle clean. Operating each route based on the schedule displayed on-board the tablet. Ultimately, you will help us increase customer satisfaction, making sure clients depend on us for their transportation needs. To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no traffic violations.
