REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR POWERTRAIN REPLACEMENT, PAINT & BODY WORK, and INTERIOR REFURBISHMENT.  SIX MCI COACHES WITH AN OPTION FOR UP TO FOUR MORE.

 

Sealed proposals, containing an original and TWO (2) copies of the proposal, shall be submitted to Lowcountry Regional Transportation Authority.  All proposals are to be submitted in sealed envelopes with RFP 2016-02 clearly marked on the front of the envelope.

 

A copy of the full proposal package may be accessed on our website at www.palmettobreezetransit.com   Proposal is due in the offices of Lowcountry Regional Transportation Authority’s, PO Box 2029, 25 Benton Field Road, Bluffton, SC 29910, not later than 3:00 PM, January 27, 2017.  Late proposals will not be considered as meeting the requirements of the Request for Proposal.

 

The proposals shall be opened at Lowcountry Regional Transportation Authority and only the names of the proposers will be disclosed at the proposal opening.  Contents of the competing proposals shall not be disclosed during the evaluation or negotiation phases.  Proposals shall be available for the public inspection after signing of the letter of engagement.  Proprietary or confidential information (i.e., customer lists, financial reports, etc.), if marked as such, shall not be disclosed without the written consent of the proposer.  The proposer shall identify such information by writing “CONFIDENTIAL” on such items.

 

Any contract resulting from this request for proposals is subject in part to a financial assistance contract between the Agency, the South Carolina Department of Transportation, and the Federal Transit Administration.  All respondents will be required to certify that they are not on the Comptroller General’s list of ineligible contractors.  Further, the contractor will be required to comply with all applicable equal employment opportunity laws and regulations.  The Agency hereby notifies all Proposers that in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this Request for Proposals, small and/or minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit proposals in response, and will not be subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award.

 

This solicitation does not commit the Lowcountry Regional Transportation Authority (LRTA) to award a contract, sign a letter of engagement, to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of a response, or to procure or contract for services. LRTA reserves the right to reject any and all proposals.
